Legal Secretary/Administrator (Maternity Cover) London Office

We currently have a vacancy for a legal secretary/administrator in our London office to cover 12 month maternity leave. There is potential for this position to become permanent as the team is expanding.

We are looking for an excellent communicator with accurate spelling and grammar to support three fee earners. The successful applicant will be someone with attention to detail, who can use their initiative to produce high quality work, and IT competent with experience of using a case management system and Outlook.

Duties will include:-

  • Digital transcription.
  • Everyday administration duties including maintaining and updating client files, opening and closing client files, monthly invoicing and archiving.
  • Communication with clients.
  • Maintaining quality management systems.

Salaried Partner – Head of Wills and Probate

Thomas Mansfield Solicitors Limited is an established, innovative and highly respected firm of solicitors based in London and Kent. Originally specialising in employment law the firm expanded in 2017 into family law. The family law team has since expanded with three senior solicitors in Tunbridge Wells and two solicitors in London. We are currently looking for a fourth solicitor in Tunbridge Wells.

We are now looking for a suitably experienced private client solicitor to head up a new department of Wills and Probate. The successful candidate will help implement the expansion of the department with the full support of the senior management team and with an excellent marketing plan targeting potential clients online and business referrals.

The Head of Wills and Probate will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Establish and develop the department;
  • Management of the team; and
  • Ability to handle own case load.

Previous experience (circa +8yrs PQE) will be needed dealing in all areas of drafting of wills, probate, succession planning, estate administration work, inheritance as well as trusts and some tax experience would be an advantage as would STEP membership.
